כל מי שאני מדברת איתה לאחרונה מספרת לי בהתלהבות איך סידרה את ארון חדר השינה, או את המטבח או כיצד ניפתה והוציאה מהבית את הצעצועים שאינם מותאמי-גיל לילדים שלה ואווררה שמיכות.
מסביבי מניפים מטאטים, דוחפים שואבים, סוחטים סמרטוטים ומסדרים.
ואני, אלרגית לאבק, מתעטשת רק מעצם המחשבה על ענני האבק המרחפים מסביב.
אביב! 
פרחים פורחים, השמש יוצאת מבעד לעננים והאובך מסתיר את השמים הכחולים.
אפצ’י! 
מי החליט לצאת במחול הניקיון המשוגע הזה דווקא כשאלוהים בכבודו ובעצמו מפעיל את שואב האבק הענק שלו במדבר סהרה והמנוע שלו מכוון אלינו?
וחכו רגע, תכף יבוא המלקוש ושבילי האבק יזלגו על החלונות המקורצפים.
לפי דעתי צריך לדחות את ניקיון האביב בכלל לקיץ.

SPRING CLEANING
Everyone I talked to recently is telling me in an excited voice how she organized her bedroom closet and the kitchen took out some of her children’s old toys and freshened her blankets.
Around me, people are dusting, vacuuming, squeezing floor rags, and organizing.
In addition, I, myself (Tamy), am allergic to dust. I’m sneezing only from the idea of the dust clouds floating around!
Spring;Flowers bloom, the sun is out of the clouds, and the haze covers the blue sky. Achoo!
Who decided to start this wild cleaning dance? Just when God himself vacuums the Sahara desert, and his engine faces us?
Moreover, wait, the last rain is just around the corner, and dust tears will go down over the scrubbed windows. I think that we need to postpone our spring cleaning to summertime.
